Tucked away in North Melbourne, just off the main flow of Victoria Street, this cafe offers a quiet, cozy spot to settle into your morning or midday break. The vibe here feels warm and unpretentious, with a casual atmosphere that suits both solo visitors and small groups. There’s a friendly, attentive service that helps make the experience feel welcoming rather than rushed.
People often come for the interesting blend of Vietnamese-inspired coffee alongside classic Aussie breakfast and lunch fare. The coffee menu includes some thoughtful takes like iced drinks with salted cream or pandan matcha, offering a surprising balance of flavors that manages to be both familiar and a little different. Beyond drinks, the food tends toward fresh and filling — think hand-wrapped sandwiches filled with seasonal ingredients like truffle-spiced mushrooms, pulled brisket with apple slaw, and a bacon and egg toastie with homemade relishes. These dishes feel homemade but elevated, fitting the calm but slightly adventurous spirit of the neighborhood’s coffee lovers.
The space itself is casual and cozy, with seating that invites lingering over a quick bite or a slow brunch, and it’s comforting to know dogs are welcome outside and there’s parking nearby, making it easy to stop by either on foot or with a car. Whether you’re after a solid coffee, a casual brunch, or a quiet spot to read or work, it draws a mix of locals from nearby — people who appreciate good flavors with a side of relaxed hospitality.

"Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and great food and drinks"
"We ordered tiramisu cold brew for takeaway, highly recommend it!!"
"Super friendly service and warm and welcoming space!"
5 Ordered the O.G Vietnamese coffee (cafe sua da) with salted cream and it was very tasty with a nice strong coffee flavour and was not too sweet; the salted cream was mildly sweet with a hint of saltiness which blended well with the coffee. Only downside was there was a lot of ice so should have ordered a large size for an extra dollar. Staffs were friendly.
5 Saw on Tiktok they had a Pandan Matcha so that’s what we came here for, but was pleasantly surprised by the other Fansipan coffee my friend ordered and the Foccacias :’) Pandan Matcha was way above my expectations and almost tasted like a Kueh but in liquid form! Focaccias were a really good deal and we left extremely full. All in all a really warm and welcoming place with super nice staff and decent prices for amazing food and drinks. would be back for sure!
5 Such a great new café! They mix Aussie favourites with amazing Vietnamese coffee. The drinks are full of flavour, the food is tasty, and the staff are really friendly. A cosy spot that feels welcoming — I’ll definitely come back!
5 Here’s the updated version with that added: Absolutely loved the food and drinks here! We ordered hojicha coconut and the iced chocolate. They were so good!! For food, we had mushroom melts and pulled brisket focaccia. The truffle flavour in the mushroom melts was amazing and brisket was seasoned perfectly (they used green apple for garnish which is a highlight too). On top of that, the customer service was absolutely top-notch. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be coming back!
5 Everything is awesome!!! Love the fansipan cold brew coffee with vanilla oat cream and orange zest. Bacon and egg toastie is better than I expected, especially the melting poached egg and crunchy tastes. The staff are lovely too. Can’t wait to give it another try! We ordered tiramisu cold brew for takeaway, highly recommend it!! It’s not too creamy but refreshing. It has toilet inside, and plenty of paid street parking.????
5 Beautiful relaxed cafe. Excellent coffee (we had a latte and a Vietnamese coffee). Specialising in sandwiches, we we loved the bacon and egg brioche one. Friendly prompt service. Well done
5 Our go-to place for great coffee with super friendly staff. On our recent visit, we ordered the Pulled Brisket Focaccia ($17) and the Chili Tuna Melt ($15). Both were crispy, made with fresh ingredients, and super tasty.
5 Absolutely lovely café. It’s so nice to finally have a genuinely good coffee locally. The vibes are cozy and welcoming from the moment you walk in, and everything feels authentic — no fuss, just done right. A true, honest café through and through. You can really feel the care that’s been put into the space and the coffee. Will definitely be coming back.
Customers love the Vietnamese coffee with salted cream, Pandan Matcha, and Fansipan cold brew with vanilla oat cream. The tiramisu cold brew is also highly recommended for takeaway.
